Alba Balbaina is Bodegas Barbadillo's terroir-focused, unfortified white wine made from Palomino Fino grown in the Balbaina Alta pago, one of the historic vineyard zones of the Sanlucar/Jerez sherry district, about 10km from the Atlantic. The name references the vineyard's brilliant-white albariza soil. Fermented in stainless steel and aged on lees for 5 months; 12.5% ABV. (Menu spells the grape "Palomino Fina"; the correct varietal name is Palomino Fino.)

Tasting Notes

Pale straw color with delicate aromas of white flowers and light spice; a delicate, smooth, flavorful palate, dry with no perceptible residual sugar.
