Profile & Story

Domaine Dupeuble Pere et Fils has farmed in Le Breuil, southern Beaujolais, since 1512, now run by siblings Ghislaine and Stephane Dupeuble via lutte raisonnee. Their base Beaujolais is 100% Gamay, fermented via carbonic maceration with indigenous yeasts and aged in cement and stainless steel, bottled unfined and unfiltered - a classic, unoaked expression of Beaujolais terroir. (The estate also makes a separate old-vine "Cuvee 1512" bottling; the venue's menu does not specify which cuvee is poured, so this is recorded as their base Beaujolais.)

Tasting Notes

Bright ruby red with purple highlights; aromas of redcurrant and raspberry with subtle spice, full and round on the palate with soft tannins and a fruity finish.

Pairing Recommendation

A classic bistro red - good with charcuterie, roast chicken, or burgers.
