Profile & Story
Scarpetta was founded in 2007 by Master Sommelier Bobby Stuckey and chef Lachlan Patterson, growing from an initial 50 cases of old-vine Friulano made for their restaurant, Frasca, into a broader range of Italian wines. Frico brings Lambrusco -- the traditional sparkling red of Emilia-Romagna -- into a compact 250ml can, blending the Grasparossa, Salamino and Maestri biotypes of the grape.
Tasting Notes
Dark ruby with small, shimmering bubbles; vibrant and fresh, with a kiss of sweetness balanced by flavors of plum, raspberry and pomegranate and a tart finish.
Pairing Recommendation
Served chilled as a refreshing aperitif or alongside food, in the traditional Lambrusco style.
