Weingut Peter Lauer is a historic Riesling estate on the Saar, in Germany's Mosel region, long recognized as one of the appellation's most meticulous producers of dry table wine and traditional-method sparkling Riesling. This Sekt is made in the traditional method using 100% Riesling, hand-riddled and aged on its lees for twelve to twenty months before disgorgement in the estate's historic Trier cellar. It carries the VDP Sekt designation, the mark of Germany's association of Prädikat estates for quality sparkling wine, and a 93-point score from James Suckling is noted on the label.
