Vignoble de la Bauge is a vineyard in Brigham, in Quebec's Cantons-de-l'Est wine region, farmed organically and long at the forefront of adapting cold-hardy hybrid grape varieties -- Frontenac Noir, Frontenac Gris and Frontenac Blanc -- to Quebec's climate; the three Frontenacs now make up the bulk of the estate's roughly ten-hectare vineyard. Created by vigneron Simon Naud together with Steve Beausejour and Nikolas Da Fonseca, the 3 Frontenacs blends all three color forms of the grape -- 50% Frontenac Noir, 25% Frontenac Gris and 25% Frontenac Blanc -- to, in the producer's words, create 'an explosion of fruit.'
