Château Haute-Borie was founded by Jean-Marie Sigaud, who established the estate in 1970 in the western part of the Cahors appellation; its 15 hectares of vineyard sit on limestone slopes around 170 meters above sea level, benefiting from an oceanic climate influence. The wine is a pure Malbec, fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel and macerated for about 25 days before aging in vat or French oak barrel, depending on the cuvée.
