Profile & Story
Coppo has been making wine in Canelli, Piedmont since 1892, one of Italy's oldest wineries, known for underground cellars recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Their Langhe Nebbiolo is vinified with maceration on the skins and short, gentle pump-overs to preserve the grape's delicate character; as the estate puts it, 'Nebbiolo is a variety that well represents the soul and history of Piedmont.'
Tasting Notes
The nose offers primary notes of strawberry and raspberry with hints of withered violet; the palate is refreshing and mineral, with well-integrated, delicate tannins and a fruity aftertaste.
Pairing Recommendation
Coppo recommends pairing it with maltagliati and rabbit ragù, risotto with taleggio, or pears and nuts, served at around 16°C.
