Dalva is the Colheita-focused Port brand of C. da Silva, a house founded in 1862 with deep roots in the Douro Valley; the 1995 is a single-harvest tawny, aged a minimum of seven years in cask and representing less than 1% of all Port produced in a given year, wood-aged in the firm's cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia across the river from Porto.
Tasting Notes
Orange in color with tea-like hues at the edge, the wine shows aromas of citrus peel, black tea, and gingerbread, with a full-bodied palate of caramel and praline and a lively, intense finish.
