Profile & Story

Method Spirits was founded by New York City barman Cory Fitzsimmons, who set out to make his own vermouth using only New York wine and brandy after struggling to find a local option suited to classic cocktails. The Dry Vermouth is built on a base of Vidal Blanc wine with Catawba brandy from Finger Lakes Distilling, macerated with 27 botanicals — including wormwood, angelica root, citrus peel, coriander, and chamomile — in a style inspired by the vermouths of France's Chambéry region.

Tasting Notes

The nose shows orange blossom, lemon curd, thyme, chamomile, and coriander; the palate offers ruby red grapefruit, white raspberry, fennel, and allspice, finishing with wormwood, marjoram, pineapple, white pepper, and menthol.

Pairing Recommendation

Best suited for classic Martinis or 50/50s, or simply enjoyed as an aperitif.
