Santa Tresa is an organic winery in Vittoria, in southeastern Sicily, born from a partnership between winemakers from Trentino and the local Sicilian terroir — described by the estate as a meeting of thirty years of Trentino experience with 'the most authentic Sicily.' Their Insieme ('together') orange wine is made from 80% Inzolia and 20% Zibibbo (Muscat of Alexandria), fermented on the macerated grape skins to develop its vibrant orange color, with over three months of lees aging.
Tasting Notes
The wine is fruity and fresh, with intense tangerine and citrus-peel character, notes of grapefruit and lemon on the nose, and hints of spice, balsamic, white pepper, and mint.
