Weingut Steininger is a family winery in Langenlois, in Austria's Kamptal region, guided by the belief that 'making good wine is a way of life' — that exceptional wines come from the interplay of soil, climate, and the winemaker's own experience, blending tradition with modern cellar technology. Karl Steininger was one of the first in Austria to plant Cabernet Sauvignon in the Kamptal, originally intending it for sparkling wine; the grapes are lightly crushed and left on the skins for about 12 hours before gentle pressing to make this rosé sparkling wine (Sekt).
