Profile & Story
M. Chapoutier is one of the oldest wine houses in the Rhône Valley, tracing its roots to 1808, with its modern reputation for terroir-focused, biodynamic winemaking shaped by Michel Chapoutier since 1990. Belleruche, meaning "beautiful beehive" in French, takes its name from the bees and hives that thrive in the estate's sustainably farmed vineyards. This Côtes du Rhône Rouge is a blend of roughly equal parts Grenache and Syrah drawn from pebbly clay, stony terrace and sandy-silt soils across the appellation.
Tasting Notes
Brimming with red-fruit aromas of morello cherry, spice and dried herbs like laurel, this wine is rich and fleshy on the palate with healthy tannins and a fresh, harmonious finish.
