Domaine Francis Blanchet is a small, eight-hectare family estate in Saint-Andelain, part of an eighth generation of winegrowers in the Pouilly-Fumé appellation. Les Débuts, one of the estate's confidential cuvées, is a 100% Sauvignon Blanc drawn from three distinct terroirs — Kimmeridgian marls, Barrois limestone and flinty clay — within Pouilly-Fumé.
Tasting Notes
A nose of ripe peach and apricot leads to a delicate palate with a tonic, mineral-driven finish characteristic of Pouilly-Fumé's flinty soils.
