Gérard Bertrand is a leading producer in the Languedoc-Roussillon of southern France, tracing the Heritage An 825 name to the Abbey of Saint Hilaire near Limoux, first documented in the year 825 and famed as the site where monks are said to have first discovered sparkling winemaking. The Crémant de Limoux Rosé is a traditional-method sparkling blend of Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc and Pinot Noir from the Limoux appellation.
Tasting Notes
A beautiful salmon-pink color with glimmering reflections, showing a complex bouquet of red fruit — strawberry and raspberry — backed by hints of toasted bread; delicate bubbles and a rich, indulgent texture carry through an extraordinarily lively palate.
