Nikolaihof is Austria's oldest winery, with a history stretching back nearly 2,000 years in the Wachau, and was among the first estates in the world to farm biodynamically under Demeter certification. "Aus den Gärten" Grüner Veltliner Federspiel is sourced from parcels in the historic Im Weingebirge vineyard site — first documented in the year 511 — from vines averaging fifty years old, spontaneously fermented and aged in large wooden casks.
Tasting Notes
Herbal notes mingle with kumquat, green apple, quince and walnut in a creamy, charming aroma; the palate shows juicy fullness with a creamy texture, invigorating acidity and excellent drinkability.
