50% Zweigelt, 50% Pinot Noir; alcohol: 11.5%; organically farmed vineyards in lower Austria at 650-1310 feet; limestone soils; vines planted 1997; harvested in September; 6 hours skin contact; fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks for 21 days at 68ºF; aged on lees 4 months.
Tasting Notes
A spirited and happily bubbly wine with notes of ripe strawberries, red cherry, and hibiscus tea, with a mineral-dry finish.
