Profile & Story

Bodegas Hidalgo-La Gitana, founded in 1792 in Sanlucar de Barrameda, remains an independent, family-owned bodega now in its eighth generation, farming over 170 hectares in the Balbaina and Miraflores pagos near the Guadalquivir estuary. La Gitana is 100% free-run Palomino must, fermented with natural yeasts in temperature-controlled stainless steel, fortified to 15% ABV, and aged under flor through the solera system just 300 meters from the sea.

Tasting Notes

Bone dry, fresh and tangy, with the characteristic flor, nut and herb flavors of a classic Sanlucar Manzanilla -- light-bodied with a saline, briny finish.
