Bodegas Virgen de la Sierra is a cooperative winery in Villarroya de la Sierra, Calatayud -- one of the oldest bodegas in the DO, founded in 1954 as one of Aragon's first wine cooperatives; roughly 70% of its production is exported. Lo Brujo comes from Garnacha bush vines averaging 50 years old, grown in the region's rolling red hills. Fruit is sustainably farmed, naturally fermented in stainless steel, and the wine is aged nine months in bottle before release.
