Profile & Story

San Leon is the flagship Manzanilla of Herederos de Argueso, founded in 1822 in Sanlucar de Barrameda by Leon de Argueso; the bodega is now owned by Sanlucar almacenista Francisco Yuste, dedicated to preserving traditional Manzanilla production. San Leon is 100% Palomino, biologically aged for a minimum of four years in American oak under a veil of flor, at 15% ABV.

Tasting Notes

Bone-dry and intensely saline, with a bready, yeasty flor character and bitter-almond notes typical of Sanlucar's coastal Manzanillas -- fresh, light and briny on the finish.
