Profile & Story
Ettore Winery was established in Hopland, in Mendocino County's Sanel Valley, by winemaker Ettore Biraghi, who identified the area as ideal terroir for pure, organic, low-intervention wine. The 64-acre certified-organic estate is planted with cover crops between the vines to sustain ecological balance; the Chardonnay is 100% estate-grown from vines aged 7 to 28 years at 500-600 feet elevation, hand-picked and made with no added sulfites. 'Pure' is aged entirely in stainless steel tanks.
Tasting Notes
Deep straw-yellow with golden reflections. A complex nose of lavender, rosemary, licorice, and pine needles alongside passion fruit, mango, and pineapple, with an elegant, structured mid-palate and a soft, crisp finish.
