Forge Cellars, founded in 2011 on Seneca Lake, has become a benchmark producer of bone-dry Riesling in the Finger Lakes; winemaker Louis Barruol also comes from fourteen generations of winemaking at his family's Chateau de Saint Cosme in Gigondas. The Classique bottling is the estate's flagship annual release, blending sixteen separately vinified single-vineyard lieux-dits across Seneca Lake's diverse soils to represent the region's terroir as a whole. The 2022 vintage is bone-dry, finishing at 0.24% residual sugar and 12.5% ABV.
