La Battagliola is a family-owned estate in Piumazzo, in the Modena province of Emilia-Romagna, at the heart of the Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro DOC -- widely considered the finest of the Lambrusco denominations. The gravelly soils of the growing area lower disease pressure and lend consistency to the wines, which are fermented and aged in temperature-controlled stainless steel with native yeasts under sustainable farming. The 'Dosage 30' bottling is the estate's semi-dry style Millesimato.
Tasting Notes
Intense violet-red in color, with aromas of currant and blackberry. Full-flavored and crisp on the palate, with the gravelly Grasparossa soils lending structure and consistency.
