Profile & Story

C.N. Kopke, founded in 1638, is the oldest Port wine house, known for blending wines of different harvests so that the age on the label reflects the average age of the blend. This 10 Year Old White Port ferments in stainless steel at controlled temperature (16-18°C) with skin contact to build color and structure, before fermentation is halted with grape brandy and the wine matures in oak casks.

Tasting Notes

An appealing gold color, with elegant and complex aromas of spice, dried fruit and hints of wood. The palate is smooth and round, with intense dried-fruit flavors and an excellent finish.

Pairing Recommendation

Best served chilled (8-10°C) as an aperitif; pairs with rich starters such as foie gras, vol-au-vent or mushroom risotto, desserts like crème brûlée or spiced apple crumble, and blue cheeses such as Stilton.
