Corte Gardoni is run by the Piccoli family, who have farmed near Lake Garda in the Veneto since 1971; Gianni Piccoli left the local cooperatives in 1980 to begin bottling under his own name. Le Fontane is their Bardolino, made from Corvina grown in the Valeggio sul Mincio area of the appellation.
