Profile & Story
Gini is a family winery in Monteforte d'Alpone, in the heart of the Soave Classico zone, run today by brothers Sandro and Claudio Gini; the estate has been producing wine since 1570. Their Soave Classico is grown in volcanic soils rich in tuff and basaltic rock formed 60 million years ago, an ideal habitat for the Garganega grape, and is fermented with indigenous yeasts.
Tasting Notes
Pale straw yellow with green-gold reflections. The nose is intense and fragrant, with fresh white flowers (hawthorn, elderflower), tropical fruit and white peach. The palate is harmonious, fine and persistent, with hints of almond and a mineral character.
Pairing Recommendation
Pairs harmoniously with pasta dishes, fish, and white meats; best enjoyed at around 10°C.
