Profile & Story
Kapistoni is a traditional qvevri winery in Saguramo, in Georgia's Kartli region, sourcing exclusively from ecologically cultivated vineyards planted with ancient, indigenous varieties. Mukhamtsvane is one of these rare native grapes, vinified in the traditional qvevri method.
Tasting Notes
A medium dark amber wine with multi-layered aromas of ripe apple, ripe pear, white and yellow plum and grated orange peel, layered with fresh walnut, vanilla oak and honey. The palate carries through those walnut, vanilla oak and summer fruit notes into a fruity, floral, dry tannic structure with a long-lasting finish.
