Castello Monaci farms over 350 acres around a 16th-century castle with medieval foundations in Puglia's Salento, once tended by Basiliani monks. 'Petraluce' -- named for the light-colored stones that reflect Salento's intense sun across the vineyards -- is made from Verdeca, a grape indigenous to the Valle d'Itria, and was first produced in 2012.
Tasting Notes
Bright straw yellow with greenish reflections; an intensely fruity and floral bouquet of green apple, citrus and white flowers leads to extraordinary freshness and minerality with balanced acidity.
