Profile & Story
80% Zinfandel, 20% Petite Sirah. Organically farmed fruit from Cherryhouse (planted 1940s) and Gary Venturi (mid-1950s) vineyards in Lodi. Carbonic maceration at ~55°F for 10 days followed by pump-over fermentation, with destemming and reverse saignée across lots; total SO2 additions 30 ppm. Nouveau-style, served chilled.
Tasting Notes
Nose of raspberry, marionberry, red plum and cocoa; palate of raspberry, chocolate-covered cherry and boysenberry, with balanced, zippy acidity and a long finish.
