Anthony Thevenet took over his family's vines in Villie-Morgon in 2013 after training with Beaujolais natural-wine figures Georges Descombes and Jean Foillard. He and his father farm nine hectares of old Gamay, some over 150 years old, moving gradually toward organic viticulture. This cuvee comes from a northwest-facing slope planted in the 1970s on decomposed granite over granite bedrock, made with 100% whole-bunch semi-carbonic fermentation, macerated five to eight days, then aged through spring in concrete.
