Chateau Maris farms 45 biodynamic, B Corp-certified hectares at the foot of the Black Mountains in La Liviniere, in the Languedoc's Minervois cru. La Touge is a Syrah-Grenache blend from vines along the terraced slopes below the village, fermented in vats with punch-downs and gentle pump-overs through four weeks of maceration, then aged roughly sixteen months in a mix of concrete eggs, vats, and barrel.
Tasting Notes
Pretty and juicy with an up-front, medium-bodied style, showing mulberry, new leather, peppery garrigue, and dried flowers in a classically elegant Minervois expression.
