Profile & Story
Bodegas Ponce was founded in 2005 by oenologist Juan Antonio Ponce in Manchuela, Castilla-La Mancha. Clos Lojen blends early-ripening Bobal from several estate plots on clay-limestone soils, with vines over 30 years old; each plot is fermented, pressed and aged separately for 7 months in large French oak vats before blending.
Tasting Notes
Bright, vibrant and fruity, with glistening cherries and redcurrants over a darker undercurrent of blackberries, spiced plums, cocoa powder and dark chocolate, lifted by a sprig of fresh mint.
