Feudo Montoni (Fabio Sireci), Sicily. 100% Nerello Mascalese from a high-altitude vineyard shielded by durum-wheat fields; cryomaceration then about 6 months sur lie with bâtonnage in cement. Named for a rose garden Elio Sireci planted for his wife, Adele. 13.5% ABV.
Tasting Notes
Light 'onion-skin' pink with bronze reflections; pink rose petal and violet with straw, brine, fennel seed, blackberry, pomegranate and strawberry; pleasant astringency, structure, freshness and persistence.
