Castello di Verrazzano is a historic estate in Greve in Chianti, transformed since 1958 by the Cappellini family with organic farming practices. This Chianti Classico DOCG is 95% Sangiovese with 5% complementary estate red grapes, fermented at controlled temperature with 15 days' maceration, and aged a minimum 18 months in medium (33 hl) French oak barrels followed by 4 months in bottle.
Tasting Notes
Ruby red color with purplish reflections; an intense scent rich in flavors of mature red fruits like cherry and blackberry blended with floral notes. The palate is harmonious and well-balanced, with good structure, oak striations, fine sweet tannins and pleasant hints of red fruit.
