Dr. Loosen, led by Ernst Loosen, is a traditional Mosel estate of over 200 years producing outstanding Rieslings from the famous steep slate slopes of the Central Mosel. 'Dr. L' Riesling, produced by the family's Loosen Bros. export arm, is Ernst Loosen's 'ambassador' wine for the Mosel region, sourced from contracted growers throughout the Mosel valley's slate-soil vineyards. It is the top-selling super-premium German Riesling in the US market, naturally low in alcohol at 8.5% ABV.
Tasting Notes
A bright, refreshing, fruit-driven wine with snappy peach and juicy citrus fruit, delicate aromas of peach, apricot and lime, a juicy mid-palate, crisp mineral notes and a crisp, drying finish.
