Profile & Story
Fontanafredda is a historic estate in Serralunga d'Alba founded in 1858, the single largest contiguous wine estate in the Langhe. The Langhe Bianco 'Viadelsale' unites grapes from the lower and upper Langa hills (calcareous marl and sandy soils, 400-800m elevation, Guyot-trained vines), fermented at controlled temperature and aged one year in stainless steel on its lees. ABV is 13.0-13.5%.
Tasting Notes
Intense straw-yellow color; a rich, full bouquet that is floral and intensely fruity when young, developing classic notes of honey, acacia and exotic fruit with time; full and balanced on the palate, with good body and persistence.
Pairing Recommendation
Excellent as an aperitif served chilled; also pairs well with light fish-based appetizers and first courses.
