S & B Borgogno is Fratelli Serio & Battista Borgogno, a family estate founded in 1897 on the Cannubi hill in Barolo, now run by fourth-generation sisters Anna and Paola Borgogno with their daughters Emanuela and Federica; the estate practices organic farming. This Nebbiolo d'Alba is 100% Nebbiolo from sandy marl and clay soils in Castellinaldo and Diano d'Alba, macerated and fermented 10-12 days in wooden vats, then aged in Slavonian oak barrels for one year prior to bottling.
Tasting Notes
A medium-bodied Nebbiolo with the variety's characteristic red-fruit and floral perfume, firm acidity and fine, structured tannins from a year in large Slavonian oak.
