Weingut Stadt Krems was founded in 1452 as a revenue source for the hospital of Krems and is one of the oldest wineries in Austria; the city of Krems still owns the estate today, and it belongs to the prestigious Traditionsweinguter association. The vineyards lie within the city limits of Krems and neighboring Stein, on steep terraces above the Danube on primary-rock soils, and the estate is Certified Sustainable. This entry-level Kremstal DAC bottling is vinified in stainless steel and bottled after a short rest on fine lees.
