Altesino's Rosso di Montalcino is produced entirely from younger-vine Sangiovese Grosso sourced across the Altesino, Pianezzine, Macina, and Castelnuovo dell'Abate vineyards, fermented in steel and aged six to eight months in large barrels -- an approachable introduction to the estate's Montalcino terroir ahead of its Brunello.

Tasting Notes

A bright, easy-drinking Sangiovese with fresh red-fruit lift and chalky tannin. Restaurant's Notes: Sour cherry, cranberry, dried rose, tea leaf, balsamic hint; bright acidity with fine, chalky tannins.
