Profile & Story

Aresca is a family winery founded in 1952 in Mombercelli, in the Monferrato hills of Piedmont, now run by the third generation. Its Barolo 'Costareto' comes from Nebbiolo grown on south-facing sites within the Barolo zone, macerated 16–19 days and matured two years in large wooden casks before further bottle aging.

Tasting Notes

A traditionally made Barolo with ample, spiced aromatics and enveloping tannin. Restaurant's Notes: Marasca cherry, dried rose, licorice, tobacco, tar; structured with gripping tannins and long minerality.

Pairing Recommendation

Excellent with roasted game or hard aged cheeses.
