Blackbird Vineyards is a Napa Valley producer historically known for Merlot-based, Right Bank-inspired blends, founded by Michael Polenske with early winemaking direction from Aaron Pott. Arise is one of the estate's proprietary reds, built from a mix of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Petit Verdot sourced across Napa Valley vineyards. The blend leans on Merlot and Cabernet Franc for its plush, earthy, Bordeaux-leaning character rather than a Cabernet-dominant style. It is crafted for early-drinking elegance while still carrying real structure and aging potential.

Tasting Notes

Blueberry and dark cherry lead into notes of dark chocolate, tobacco leaf and forest floor, with a svelte, polished texture that carries through a long, velvety finish. Restaurant's Notes: Black cherry, plum, violet, cocoa, graphite, baking spice; plush and seamless with a velvety, elegant finish.

Pairing Recommendation
