BloodRoot is a Healdsburg, Sonoma County label conceived by Noah and Kelly Dorrance of Reeve Wines, with winemaking by Katy Wilson; the name evokes the plant's 'blood' nourished by roots and terroir. The Undertow bottling is a proprietary red blend combining Bordeaux varieties (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot) with Rhone varieties (Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre) sourced from vineyards around Sonoma County. The 2021 vintage benefited from a warm growing season without major heat spikes, followed by cooler nights near harvest that preserved freshness in the fruit. BloodRoot wines are sold primarily through the winery's quarterly membership and Healdsburg tasting room.

Tasting Notes
