Profile & Story

Bonpas takes its name from a fortified former Carthusian charterhouse near Avignon, founded in 1318 along the historic route linking Rome and Avignon — a heritage the estate, now part of the Boisset Collection, references on every label. The southern Rhône vineyards sit on sun-exposed, stony clay soils well suited to Grenache. Réserve de Bonpas is a Côtes du Rhône blend of Grenache with Syrah and Mourvèdre, made in an approachable, fruit-forward style.

Tasting Notes

Juicy and easy-drinking, with ripe berry fruit and a light dusting of black pepper. Restaurant's Notes: Juicy cherry, blackberry, black pepper, dried herbs; bright and supple with easygoing tannins.

Pairing Recommendation

Great with grilled sausages or a simple carne asada.
