Calixa is produced by Monte Xanic, founded in 1988 and widely credited as the winery that put Mexico's Valle de Guadalupe on the international wine map. Calixa is the estate's more accessible, fruit-forward line, a Cabernet Sauvignon-Syrah blend built for everyday drinking without losing the winery's attention to detail. The wine is aged in French oak and reflects the valley's warm days and cooling Pacific influence.

Tasting Notes

Juicy cassis and black cherry lead, with a soft, warming baking-spice finish typical of Valle de Guadalupe Cabernet blends. Restaurant's Notes: Ripe black cherry and cassis, cocoa nib, baking spice, warm herb tones; juicy and generous with soft tannins.
