La Chablisienne, the leading cooperative cellar of Chablis (founded 1923), acquired Château Grenouilles in 1999 and now holds roughly three-quarters of the tiny 9.4-hectare Grenouilles Grand Cru — one of Chablis's smallest and rarest climats, forming an unbroken, south-west-facing plot. The wine is aged about 14 months in a combination of tank and barrel.
Tasting Notes
A dense, powerfully mineral Chablis Grand Cru from one of the appellation's rarest single-climat holdings. Restaurant's Notes: Green apple, lemon oil, oyster shell, wet stone, chamomile; racy acidity with crystalline precision.
