Profile & Story
Coster dels Olivers is a Priorat cuvée made by winemaker Joan Sangenis at Celler Cal Pla in Porrera, blended by importer Eric Solomon from Carinyena, Garnatxa and Cabernet Sauvignon grown on the region's slate llicorella soils. It is built as a brighter, juicier style of Priorat than the region's more extracted bottlings.
Tasting Notes
A bright, mineral-driven Priorat red with juicy dark fruit and slate-inflected structure. Restaurant's Notes: A balanced and complex wine with rich flavors of dark cherries, blackberries, and hints of earthiness; slightly herbaceous with silky tannins that culminate in a long finish.
Pairing Recommendation
Pairs with grilled lamb or a hard sheep's-milk cheese.
