Profile & Story

Louise Vineyard, established in 1993 on the lowest slopes of the Cristom estate and named for winegrower Tom Gerrie's great-grandmother, is sheltered from Pacific winds by surrounding forest and hillside, giving it the most geologically diverse soils on the property (volcanic, marine sedimentary, and Missoula Flood silts). The 26-30 year old vines were fermented with 46% whole clusters for the 2021 vintage and aged 18 months in 38% new French oak. Cristom farms all five estate vineyards organically and biodynamically under LIVE Sustainable certification.

Pairs beautifully with duck carnitas, mole poblano, or grilled quail.
