Profile & Story

Vinícola Torres Alegre y Familia is a boutique Valle de Guadalupe winery founded by Dr. Víctor Torres Alegre, the only Mexican winemaker holding a doctorate in oenology from Bordeaux. The premium Cru Garage line is limited to roughly 150 cases per vintage, built on grape-by-grape sorting and 24 months in new French oak.

Tasting Notes

Rich and structured, with strawberry, fig and blackcurrant layered with vanilla and warm spice from extended new-oak aging. Restaurant's Notes: Medium to full-bodied blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre; dark fruit, peppery spice, and earthy undertones.

Pairing Recommendation

Good with grilled short rib tacos, chile-rubbed meats, or other smoky, richly spiced dishes.
