Profile & Story
Maison Delas Freres, founded in 1835 in Tournon-sur-Rhone, is one of the Northern Rhone's most historic negociant-producers. Seigneur de Maugiron, named for the medieval lord said to have divided Cote-Rotie between his two daughters -- giving rise to the Cote Brune and Cote Blonde -- blends 100% Syrah from both hillsides into a structured, black-fruited wine aged in oak.
Tasting Notes
A structured, elegant Cote-Rotie with dark fruit, graphite, and fine spice. Restaurant's Notes: Blackcurrant, boysenberry, violet, olive tapenade, smoked bacon, cracked pepper; silky and savory with mineral drive.
