Profile & Story

Detert Family Vineyards traces its Napa roots to 1953, when the family purchased a portion of Oakville's historic To Kalon vineyard along the western foothills. Longtime grape growers for Robert Mondavi and Charles Krug, the family produced its first commercial Detert vintage in 2000 and still makes only 200 to 300 cases a year of estate Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.

Tasting Notes
