Domaine de Ferrand sits in the cooler, northern sector of Châteauneuf-du-Pape around the Cabrières and La Gardiole lieux-dits, on a property with roots to the 17th-18th century that was first estate-bottled by Philippe Bravay starting in the mid-1990s. Its roughly 7.5 hectares include several parcels of exceptionally old vines, some dating to 1904, 1910, and 1920. The wine is heavily Grenache-based, matured without new oak in a mix of concrete tanks and older foudres to preserve the pure, mineral character of the fruit.
